Privacy Policy

2. Scope

This policy covers the public marketing site at pi247.de, including the informational pages and the Nordwatt demo experience hosted on this domain. It does not replace the privacy terms of Energy-Data.io product subscriptions or of third-party booking tools.

3. Data we process

• Server and edge logs — IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamps, processed by our hosting provider (Cloudflare) to operate and secure the site.
• Demo Ask interactions — when you use the live demo chat, the questions you submit and the model responses may be processed by our demo Worker and an AI inference provider solely to answer that session. Do not submit personal data, secrets, or confidential project information into the public demo.
• Contact and booking — if you email us or book a call via Microsoft Bookings, Microsoft and your mail provider process that data under their terms so we can respond.

4. Purposes and legal bases

We process the data above to run and secure the website, to demonstrate Project Intelligence capabilities, and to respond to enquiries. Where Mauritian or applicable EU law requires a legal basis for analogous processing, we rely on legitimate interests in operating a business website and responding to requests, and on contractual steps where you initiate contact about an engagement.

5. Recipients and transfers

Hosting and CDN: Cloudflare, Inc. Demo inference may use cloud AI providers configured for the demo Worker. Booking: Microsoft. Data may be processed outside Mauritius; we rely on provider contractual safeguards customary for these services.

6. Retention

Edge/security logs are retained according to Cloudflare’s defaults for the account. Demo chat contents are not used to build a marketing profile and are not kept longer than needed for operating and debugging the demo. Enquiry emails are retained as business correspondence.

7. Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of personal data we hold about you, and you may object to certain processing. Contact jnagel@energy-data.io. You may also lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority where available.

8. No mandatory cookies for marketing

The marketing site does not currently set third-party advertising cookies. Essential hosting and session storage used by the demo theme/language preferences may be stored locally in your browser.

9. Changes

We may update this policy when the site or our processing changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change accordingly.
